Ethical wall for Lync / OCS R2
The MultiUx Ethical Wall is a tool, designed for Microsoft Lync / OCS R2, which allow to manage the “communication routes” among the users using the real-time collaboration services.
Acting as a firewall, the customer’s administrator is able to allow/deny the possibility to users to communicate using Lync / OCS R2 services, managing the direction of the communications, even with federated users or PIC users.
The key features are (ref. ver 2.0):
- Rules can be defined and applied on the following types of end-points:
- Single user defined by the SIP URI
- Domain of users defined by the SIP URI’s domain name
- Single Active Directory user
- Active Directory group
- Active Directory Organization Unit
- Active Directory Domain
- Single federated user
- Federated domain
- Single PIC user
- The rules are based on:
- The possibility to ALLOW or DENY any route/service among two end-points
- The possibility to specify the direction of the route among two end-points
- From end-point A to end-point B
- From end-point B to end-point A
- Bi-directional
- Rules can act on:
- Instant Messaging
- Audio/Video call PC-to-PC
- Audio/Video conf
- Desktop Sharing
- File transfer
- Dial-In / Dial-Out (Enterprise Voice)
